Awarded an Australian Postdoctoral Fellowship (APD) by Dr Brendan Nelson, Australian Government Minister for Education, Science and Training, as part of the ARC Discovery project grant (DP0663854) Hearn, G., Lehmann, S., Adkins, B., & Foth, M.: New Media in the Urban Village: Mapping Communicative Ecologies and Socio-Economic Innovation in Emerging Inner-City Residential Developments. APDs provide opportunities for researchers at the postdoctoral level to undertake research of national and international significance, and to broaden their research experience. 110 APD fellowships were awarded Australia-wide in 2005 with a success rate of 14%.
