Petromil Petkov is a Computer Science graduate student at Technical University Munich, Germany. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the same university and currently pursues an honours degree in Technology Management from Ludwig-Maximilians University, Munich, Germany. In 2009 he visited Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, USA as a research scholar in Georgia Tech Research Network Operations Center.

Currently he is a part-time developer for social mobile applications at Aloqa, Palo Alto, USA. In the past, he has worked on projects with Deutsche Telekom Labs in Berlin, Germany and Siemens Enterprise Communications in Munich, Germany.

His topics of interest include mobile and distributed applications, social networks as well as environmental sustainability. His current research studies target the issue of personal environmental awareness and will give insights about persuasive user-centred design of situated, engaging and collaborative systems that are to foster sustainable culture in urban areas and lead to a low-carbon future.
