Kevin Wiesner
Kevin Wiesner is a Media Informatics graduate student at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universtät, Munich, Germany. He holds an honours degree in Technology Management from the Technische Universität München, Germany. He was a Visiting Scholar with the Robotics Institute at Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, USA in 2007/08.
Currently he is a research intern in the Urban Informatics research group at Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane, Australia.
In the past, he has worked on projects with Siemens Enterprise Communications, Munich, Germany, the research labs of NTT DoCoMo Euro-Labs, Munich, Germany, and Wevade GmbH, a web development start-up company in Munich, Germany.
Mr Wiesner’s fields of interest are mobile and distributed systems, human-computer interaction, and locative media. His current research studies target the issue of how digital and mobile technology can be used for place-based community engagement.
