Iain Scott is a Systems Engineer working with the Urban Informatics Research Group within the Institute for Creative Industries and Innovation at Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane, Australia.

His work focuses on engineering software and hardware solutions to enable the transmission of real-time and location information which is utilised by the Urban Informatics team in a variety of novel and exciting ways.

Before joining the team he has worked on several communications-based projects including the design of a satellite communication system for remotely located weather stations.  Iain has also worked as a Software Developer for an internet startup firm specialising in network layer programming and formal software testing methodologies.

Iain holds a Masters of Engineering Degree in Electronics and Electrical Engineering from the University of Glasgow, Scotland.
