Deanna Hood

Deanna is a Bachelor of Mathematics and Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) undergraduate at Queensland University of Technology, Gardens Point. She expects to graduate at the end of 2011, obtaining both Bachelors after five years of study. In the 2010/2011 summer break Deanna worked alongside the Urban Informatics Research Lab and NICTA team at Queensland’s digital culture centre, The Edge. She created a wireless sensor network to track and better understand how users interact with the space.  Deanna’s engineering final-year project involves creating a brain-computer interface to allow users to control a full-scale automotive experience simulator at CARRSQ at QUT Kelvin Grove with their EEG brain signals.
