Danielle Starkey

Danielle is a Creative Industries professional working in the fields of Drama and Film & Television. She has extensive experience as a film producer, screenwriter, actor and production manager and teaches both film and drama privately and with Queensland University of Technology. Along with a strong history in education, Danielle also has a wealth of corporate sector experience, having held positions such as Agent/Booker with June Dally Watkins; State Manager with BrightStars Agency and School; Casting Manager with Dally’s Models and numerous professional mentorships and consulting positions with organisations such as St Peters Lutheran College, The Sisters of Charity Health Organisation and the QLD Liberal Party.

Danielle is currently enrolled in a research masters degree at QUT and works casually with the Urbaninfomatics Research team as a research assistant. In this capacity and in consulation with Dr Marcus Foth and Prof Greg Hearn, Danielle has designed and facilitated focus group research sessions for the FKP Gasworks project, in which character analysis and drama techniques have been employed as innovative research methodology. Danielle has also written promotional and academic articles and been involved in researching oral histories for both the Gasworks and the FKP Albion Mill project.
